Giving people who need support hope for their future and a purpose in their life.
Bringing together women and family that would be interested in meeting once a week for a knit/crochet group to produce something that mattered in life.
We wanted to create something mission-oriented which later turned into our outreach program called the I Care Shawl Project. It took off very quickly with a few ladies meeting together at first. Within a few months, we had grown into a group of 12 or more, thus giving purpose to many lives.
Our knit/crochet groups are a reconnection to a lost art. We all learn from each other so no one is left out. There are many talented ladies to help figure out patterns or teach different stitches. It's a great way to handle stress, like a meditative practice of breathing in and out with each stitch.
